Ormond by the Sea in Volusia County is something of a surfer’s paradise.  What was once a popular city for retirees, the “OBC” is as it commonly referred to by locals has slowly transitioned towards catering to a younger crowd, many who tend to purchase Ormond by the Sea homes for use as permanent beach homes or vacation homes.  Ormond Bicentennial Park and North Peninsula State Park are close to Ormond by the Sea and remain a great complement to the town’s avid surfing and seafaring lifestyle.
