On the southern tip of the Daytona Beach peninsula is the town of Ponce Inlet. This tiny community of just over 3000 people is one of Florida’s best kept secrets. Ask anyone who lives in the small neighborhood and they’ll likely speak quite fondly of the highly relaxed standard of living they enjoy and the beaches that are very much uncrowded and naturally pristine. One of the town’s notable attractions is the historic Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse built in 1887, the tallest lighthouse in the state and one of the most well preserved lighthouses in the entire country.
