Florida’s distinction as a tourism apex means that its more than 900 golf courses are open 365 days a year.  Golfing enthusiasts of all skill levels should definitely consider visiting one of the Central Florida golf courses during the months of May through October as this is when the popular courses are less crowded and when many of the normally private courses are open to the public.

Daytona Beach has several eighteen hole courses that are open all year to the pubic like the Deltona Hills Golf & Country Club, the acclaimed LPGA International and the massive Spruce Creek Country Club, a popular local favorite.

With the exception of the Hidden Lakes Golf Course and the New Smyrna Beach Municipal Golf Course, the city of New Smyrna Beach doesn’t have as many public courses.  On the other hand it does feature some of the most amazing private courses, namely the sprawling and amazingly lush 27-hole Sugar Mill Country Club.
