Healthcare, government, education and tourism tend to be the biggest industries in Daytona Beach where the majority of residents are employed.

As for the city’s major employers, Ameriplan, the University of Central Florida and Modern Business Associates have the biggest workforce, employing more than 70,000, 40,000 and 15,000 people, respectively.  A few Fortune 500 companies also conduct business in the area like Publix Super Markets, car giant AutoNation and Tech Data.  Big names like NASCAR and SunTrust Bank also have their corporate headquarters in Daytona Beach.

Although there are several major corporations and enterprises in the area, places like Daytona Beach are also known for having an environment that’s just as friendly to small, up and coming family businesses.  Overall the varied array of driving industries and major employers makes the workforce incredibly diverse.
