Volusia Countys city of Deltona belongs to Floridas Fun Coast region. Its also the largest city in the county and is the home Lyonia Preserve, a 350+ acre project that functions as the home of the citys official (and endangered) bird the Florida Scrub Jay. Deltonas residents come from a variety of backgrounds, leading to a richly diverse community. Interestingly, the name of the city is actually comes from a fusion of the names given to Daytona Beach and nearby DeLand.
